Terracotta has shaped the way we build for generations. Warm, familiar and made from the earth itself, it carries a character that feels timeless, yet is often missing from contemporary interiors.

Mudora began with a simple question: How can this material find a place in today’s spaces without losing its essence? 

Through our collections, we explore terracotta as a surface for modern living, bringing the warmth of earth into homes, workplaces and everyday environments.

Today, Mudora creates terracotta wall tiles designed for the way we live now. Through modular compositions, patterns and textures, we seek to bring the warmth of earth into everyday interiors, making a material that has always belonged to us feel relevant once again.

Architects Shubhangi and Virajitha met in architecture school in Delhi and later travelled across India to learn from traditional building practices and natural materials. Bringing together a shared interest in craft, material and design, they founded Mudora as an ongoing exploration of terracotta in contemporary spaces.
